A nearly 35,000 square mile oil spill has almost entirely stayed off the radar and remained nearly silent in the press. Between August 21 and November 3rd 2009 there was a major oil leak off the coast of Australia that gushed out of control for months. In a scene all too familiar, the oil companies are working overtime to squash the compensation that they promised the people in the infected areas.
Nearly 18,000 fisherman were effected due to this massive plume of oil that flowed into the Timor Sea. This event was termed Australia’s worst offshore drilling rig disaster in history.
Jumping forward to 2010 we have seen some interesting signs surrounding the many oil spills in America. That’s right, oil spills plural. Not only was there the BP oil disaster that started on April 20, 2010; there has been a few others that went fairly unnoticed to the general public.
There was the oil spill in the Kalamazoo river near Marshall Michigan that sent 1 million gallons of oil down stream due to a broken pipeline. The pipeline was run by Enbridge, a subsidiary of BP! Reports now suggest that the oil has reached the Great Lakes.
Do not forget the spill near Chicago that recently spilled 250,000 gallons of oil with little to no media coverage.
The most important aspect of this situation are the ties of Enbridge and BP. All of the spills outlined above have been suppressed to some extent through media manipulation. The fact that all three of the spills that have taken place in the U.S. are affiliated with BP is captivating to say the least.
The American people deserve answers on these issues, and so far have received none. The current establishment seems to be not only funded by big business, but literally working in the interests of international corporations! To put it softly, Fascism.
