Electrical pumps not functioning due to power outages at tanker fueling stations have been reportedly limiting the delivery of fuel throughout the region after New York City was hit hard by a super storm cell last week.

NEW YORK CITY — New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Announced Sunday, “We are not 100% sure” when the fuel shortages will end as New York has never seen a crisis of this magnitude. However, Cuomo also said he thought the crisis was “getting better” and told residents to hang on for a few more days.
Some residents are taking the situation as it comes, while others are frustrated claiming there is little to no help from the government of FEMA. Signs posted on telephone polls in weather stricken parts of the city read, “FEMA where are you” and “FEMA please help us”.
Saturday, one man decided to go check out the current gas crisis in NYC for himself, documenting it on YouTube. He decided to walk, not waisting fuel.
In the video you can clearly see storm damage that ravaged a park in the city as large trees have been fully uprooted. Once the man completes his “nature walk” through the park he suggests, “I’m out here looking for big government, that’s what I am looking for”…. “I wan’t a Tesla Motors Model S, you can plug that son of a bitch in just like an iPhone”.
As the man approaches the armory the setting looks somewhat apocalyptic as hundreds await their government ration of fuel (up to 10 gallons).
After the man checks out the gas situation he ends up in a flea market in what he describes as “post-apocalyptic” NYC.
Others throughout the city show frustration during the fuel shortage, waiting in long lines.
Fox News reported, “Tempers have flared at pumps, and even fights have broken out in lines”.
In Staten Island over 100 National Guardsmen are helping people get there allotments of fuel.
Others like this woman drive around waisting their fuel in an effort to search for gas, finding only long lines;
Food and water is also a major concern amongst citizens stricken by the super storm Sandy last week. The military has been staging to offer aid to some areas;
While others report that the government and FEMA are nonexistent,
If power fails to be restored soon NYC could have more problems on their hands as the New York Police Department is already overwhelmed.
A poll taken by intellihub.com Saturday shows that most think martial law is a possibility in New York and could happen this week;
The poll results show that 42% of the people who participated say martial law will happen, while only 2% say it will not, the remaining 52% think that it is a possibility.
What are your thoughts?

I have no sympathy for anyone who could have prepared for the disaster before it came, and then complains about the Red Cross and the government. The best time to prepare for a disaster, drum roll please, YEARS before it comes.
It appears obvious to me that the government is presently engaged in a training exercise which cultivates a helpless mentality among the folks on the street. Instead of admonishing them (the people waiting in line for their free handouts) for not being properly prepared, it seems the media and the various government officials are admonishing FEMA and others for not handing out more and doing it quicker. I want to say this is not typical of Americans, to be so helpless and hapless when it comes to providing for their own emergency preparations. But I am sad to report that nowadays it seems all TOO American — people standing with their hands out waiting for their nanny state to put something into it.
In fact, this is a great opportunity for the media and government leaders to educate the public about being better prepared. You might call it a teachable moment in that regard. And writers like Mr. Ambellas might serve a better cause to go out and find those people who have prepared well and to tell THEIR story — what did they do in advance? what measures did they take to provide for themselves and their families and others so that they did not need to stand with their hands out?
Yes, education now! It’s possible to heat your home without electricity, possible to cook, possible to store food and water, possible to light up the night; it’s even possible to run a generator without gasoline! Yes, maybe people should have forgone that fancy something toy they bought for their entertainment and used the money instead to arrange for their own survival and to help others who are less able.
Correct sir, and until people learn that the government has no interest in their well being they will continue to be sheeple. The other comment that they should prepare for this sort of event is equally as relevant. This is all dress rehearsal for the big one, financial collapse. Anyway be careful you don’t WAIST your fuel.
All here need to check out the demographics of those “DEMANDING” that various gubmint agencies do more, give more and such! We KNOW who and what they are, getting sort of tired of it. Note the demographic of the apparently neat and orderly and courteous lines for fuel as opposed to the demographic of the photos said to be in anarchy (the usual mode in my many visits to NOOYAWK CD!)
I’m going to say the following on behalf of the people left stranded in NYC and Jersey. Those of you who want to get your nose out of joint about will just have to get over it:
OK…so let’s say I spent the last 3 1/2 years prepping, and making sure I had what I needed. The only thing I couldn’t swing was a place to go when the time came to get out of Dodge. The hurricane swept my house out to sea along with everything in it, including my precious prepper stuff. Now what?
What difference did it make? None. I still will need help or there’s the likelihood that I and my family and those of my neighbors are going to die, and we don’t give a ship about all your condescending talk about being better prepared- SO STOW IT WILL YOU! now isn’t the time for you to lord it over anyone! The electricity is cut, the NG lines are leaking all over the place, and nothing seems to be happening as volunteer crews who came for us from other states are turned away because they don’t work in a union. How peachy is that? Unions, you can stow it too! Your little minded union turf war thing makes you look like a bunch of…well the word that comes to mind I can’t write here.
But here’s the rub- FEMA comes into town. They lock us down, and then they don’t do anything. It’s like they want to see people suffering like they get a high from it. And the blockades around the city sure didn’t help much, as supplies we needed were turned away because…get this…no bill of lading??? So open the damned gates and look in there to see- was that so freaking hard?
What little food FEMA did bring in for people was tainted and gave them all food poisoning…wow…you guys for rescuers, who needs enemies?
When people are tired, hungry, freezing, and don’t have any shelter or dry clothes or gas it’s not a time to get all bureaucratic and throwing your weight around. Thanks for NOTHING, FEMA. For all the good you’re doing, why not just head on back to Washington and put your feet back up on the DESK!
Check out the back panel of that tanker truck at the top under the article title. WTF? Abit blatant
Good catch, BigBarrels. The situation becomes even more curious, when one sees that the name of the company (“Island”) doesn’t match the glyph used for the letter “I” (“Eye”).
Instead, the implication is of Eye-land. The land of the watchers and the watched.
Upon watching the videos, it came to my attention that the hurricane victims interviewed in the last video seemed to have two different reactions.
One person seemed to have missed the initial warnings entirely (“Nobody is telling me anything, so I don’t know what to do”), and the other fell for Irene crying wolf, as did so many others, but now realizes the error.
The third perspective, “I was prepared”, is well addressed in other parts of the video and other videos where those who were prepared are currently able to help others with food and handling relief efforts.
Nice observation guys, I missed that. Very interesting stuff!
WTF? Big Government? We don’t need no big government. We need people to take care of themselves. I don’t pay taxes for big government, the taxes I pay are for schools that can’t teach kids to read. I pay taxes for cops that can’t enforce laws. The taxes I pay are for local corruption. I don’t pay taxes to the fedgov because I have learned how not to. It really is simple. All the loopholes are there for the informed. Starve the beast. Feed the local corruption, at least I have some say where that money goes.
Everyone laughs about me storing up food….thinks it’s hilarious that I encourage others to do the same, thinks it’s laughable that I give advice on the best foods to store and how and that owning a bicycle for what-if’s is probably a good idea. Who is laughing now?
1. This was no “hurricane” in the natural sense.
2. There has been no looting in my area (Long Island)that I’ve heard of or seen. The red cross (I’m no fan of this corrupt, money-laundering organization) is out giving away food and the local fire department is doing so too. A dusk to dawn curfew has been imposed along the very southern part of the South Shore of Long Island. At whose direction this was done, I haven’t heard but I’ve seen national guard around for days.
3. I think people have been taking this better than the media will ever let anyone know. Most know enough to hunker down and shelter in place when gasoline is in such short supply.
4. This is definitely a multi pronged or multi purpose psychological and military exercise against the general population. The end results may not be understood for months/years. There is a lot of testing of “state” systems going on, I’m sure; including the general population reduction agenda which includes getting the population to play along—a game of, who should get kicked off the island?
5. Many more people were prepared–at least partially– than the media is saying and many people are helping their relatives, neighbors, etc.
6. I’m rather sure part of this has to do with I.C.L.E.I. (U.N. Agenda 21) to move population into certain “corridors” on Long Island as well as in NJ, etc. This happened in Katrina too. Many people did not return to New Orleans because they couldn’t afford to rebuild or they were too afraid to return or both.
7. I believe the “gas shortage” is partly faked. Again, part of a psy-op to see how people will react now and in the future, in order to have people live with less and pay more for it; rationing, “shortages”, etc.
8. This “natural” disaster will also help to eliminate more jobs since many, many small businesses have been hit hard and gov-co wants to rid themselves of any & all competition.
9. Around here, we call him Gov. Blowmo. He is an even scarier globalist than his father was and that is saying alot.
10. The lesson here? Don’t count on anyone to help you but you. You are your own champion and keeper. Don’t be a prozac (“I’m a victim.”) sheep.
PLEASE re-check spelling in this article. Isn’t it “wasting”, not “waisting”?
The eye of Horus with an upside down pyramid is on the back of that tanker truck! omg!
