The World Health Organization has issued a report claiming that there will not be an increase in cancer patients over the next few years, as a result of the Fukushima Disaster.
The report is said to rely on data from the Chernobyl disaster, when even mainstream sources will admit that the radiation emitted from Chernobyl is still increasing cancer risks across Europe to this day.
According to The Asahi Shimbun who first obtained the report:
“Cases of cancer caused by radiation from the Fukushima nuclear accident will not increase significantly, although the risk facing infants near the plant has risen, a draft report by the World Health Organization said.
The WHO’s draft report, obtained by The Asahi Shimbun, also said the health risks for people living outside Fukushima Prefecture were negligible, regardless of age.”
Looking closer it seems that this report is using deceptive language to downplay the reality of what is happening. The article goes on to reveal that:
“The WHO forecast does not mean that affected residents in Fukushima Prefecture will never develop cancer as a result of radiation exposure, but it does indicate that the rate of increase in cancer cases is so small that it does not present a statistically detectable risk.”
The statistical weight of this increase is highly debatable and if they truly are judging by Chernobyl data they would know that there was enough of an increase for it to be considered a significant risk.
There is a very good chance that this is being downplayed on purpose, as we have seen in the past from these kinds of organizations.
Throughout the whole entire meltdown process TEPCO and the Japanese government have downplayed the environmental impact of the Fukushima disaster.
One politician was even arrogant enough to drink radioactive water, in a desperate kamikaze move to save credibility for the government.
It was reported last month that irradiated fish captured near the inoperative nuclear plant showed 25,800 becquerels of caesium per kilo, which is actually 258 times the level determined ‘safe’ by the government.

If this isn’t the biggest crock of bullshit. This really lessens my opinion of the World Health Organization and what it truly stands for: Cover-Up instead of protecting the lives around the globe.
Would all the members who wrote this report be willing to camp out next to the reactor, and drink the water for a week? Then I would believe them.
the gov is still tryin to cover its ass, cause it said nothing did nothing and it still doein nothin to protect the people, but they are building 130 bunkers at 19 billion each to cover their own asses gone into a hole they are coverin their buts while lettin us be open to the radiation
It would be safe to assume that ANYTHING that has the word “World” in it’s title such as world health, World Bank, World Trade Etc….Are leading members of the New World Order! BEWARE!
Delusional leftist dirt bags – all of them.
Well its a big action which is against of cancer cases. You doing great.
We are all in danger
